Presenter Guidelines

Oral Presentation Guidelines

Please familiarise yourself with the conference programme. We will be unable to reschedule any missed presentation opportunities.

Each speaker has been assigned a designated time slot in the conference programme. Please do not re-arrange presentations with other presenters without the approval of the programme committee.

We would recommend allowing time for questions, but how you choose to use your time is up to you. We would like your presentation to reflect the abstract submitted.

A session chair will be on hand to help you keep to time.

We have, as much as possible, scheduled your presentation with two others that are on complementary themes. The intention is that this will add depth and nuance to conversations in your room. You may wish to contact the presenters of the other two papers either before the conference or during it. Because we have scheduled three consecutive papers, it is absolutely imperative that you stick to your allotted time so that you do not impinge on the time of the following paper(s).

Please bring your presentation on a USB stick. Please ensure you visit the session room in advance of your presentation to load it onto the computer.  We do not recommend speakers using their own laptops.

The lecture room will be equipped with a computer, a video projector, a microphone. Each computer will have Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat Reader installed.

Should you need help finding your session room or uploading your presentation to the computer, please make yourself known to the conference assistants.

Poster Presentation Guidelines

The posters will be on display for the whole conference with viewing opportunities in the coffee and lunch breaks as well as the dedicated poster session 13:00 – 13:30 Saturday 13 April.

Please ensure your poster is hung on arrival in the Parkinson Court. Velcro will be provided. Each poster board is approximately 1 x 2m, which will fit A0 portrait or A1 landscape (or portrait) posters.
